Has anybody ever tried an ad blocker for iPhone. The ads are just getting so much more invasive. I have an iPhone 7+ and half the screen is ads. When I scroll on the FP There is literally a huge ad beetween every single paragraph. Any negatives to using an ad blocker?

It depends on the ad blocker maybe? If they only hide the ads then you still get your battery drained. But if they block the scripts from running that’s good.

Yeah. The moral implication is why I don’t have one. But they have to be responsible and not put up more damn ads than content.

I’m using Adblock plus or something. It makes the fp readable again. Well, relatively.

There are too many damn ads being shoved in my face, fuck all the moral implication shit. I get they have to make money, but after a certain point it gets too annoying.

I started using Adblock on my iPhone 5s when they started putting ads in the comments. That was the tipping point for me. It’s good but not perfect. The only thing that is a downside is it has big problems with stuff like google shopping results, referrer URL’s (like if you wanted to buy through kinja deals), and similar stuff where it’s sponsored but you’re voluntarily clicking it.

Opera browser has a built-in add blocker.
